مضادات إستطبابات التنبيه الكهربائي

1. لا يجب أن نطبق التنبيه الكهربائي فوق :
* الكسور الغير ملتئمة
* مناطق النزوف الدموية النشطة
* ورم خبيث أو التهاب وريد في منطقة العلاج
* العضلات البلعومية وحول الحنجرة
* زرع الصفائح المعدنية
* لايطبق التنبيه الكهربائي عند المرضى الذين بحاجة لبطارية تنظيم القلب أو مرضى القصور القلبي

2. كن حذرا عند تطبيق التنبيه الكهربائي في مناطق نقص الحس أو الوذمات الشديدة

3. لا تطبق أي شكل أو نوع من التنبيه الكهربائي إذا كان الجهاز مكسور أو الأسلاك متشابكة أو المجموعة غير متصلة بقاطع أرضي يفصل التيار الكهربائي الخاطئ

C. Contraindications
I. Electrical stimulation should not be placed over:
a. Healing fractures.
b. Areas of active bleeding.
c. Malignancies or phlebitis in treatment area.
d. Superficial metal implants.
e. Pharyngeal or laryngeal muscles.
f. Electrical stimulation should not be applied to
patients with demand-type pacemaker, myocar-
dial disease.
2. Use precaution in applying electrical stimulation
to areas of impaired sensation and severe edema.
3. Do not use any electrical modality if there is evi-
dence of broken or frayed wires or if the unit is not
connected to a ground fault circuit interrupter (see
hydrotherapy section).
